SATURDAY FUN!!

Saturday was another fun filled day for The Wheeler's! We started the day off at the soccer field for Alexis' game.

After her game we met my cousin and her family for lunch at a little pizza place. The pizza was really good and we had a great time visiting with everyone.

That evening the guys were heading to the OU game so my dad wanted to take all of us girls (and Drew!) for a picnic. We had so much fun! The weather was absolutely perfect! They had made a lot of delicious food and then had a surprise for dessert. Once the kids had played for a while they decided to bring out the surprise dessert....HOMEMADE OREO ICE CREAM!!!! We were all SOOOO excited!!

I will leave you with a few pictures from the evening...Thanks Nana and Papa for a fun evening! It was perfect!

FALL PARTY AT MY GRANDPARENT'S HOUSE!!

Today the girls were out of school so we decided to spend the day at their great grandparent's house. We had so much fun with them! They fed us lunch and then the festivites began....
We made caramel apples. We had never done this before and we really had a lot of fun doing it. This may become a yearly tradition...

As soon as they were done with their own apples, off they ran to the next project somehow leaving me to finish dipping the rest of the apples...
My mom brought pumpkins for all of them to decorate with paint and they loved doing that, so outside we went...the weather was absolutely gorgeous! We were so glad that the weather was actually hot outside because Drew ended up playing in the water hose and had quite a fun time doing so!

The finished products...each one knew exactly what they were going to do on their pumpkin!

Once we destroyed my grandparent's house, had brownies and ice cream, and had yummy pumpkin sugar cookies that Alison made...we left! Yes, we did try to clean up my grandparent's house and at least try to put it all back together again!

My girls ended the day by going to their Aunt Ashley's house to eat dinner and carve pumpkins. She made Alexis' favorite dinner and then they carved the pumpkins and then made cookies for dessert. (I didn't get any pics because I wasn't there...although she did tell me that Isabella wouldn't carve her pumpkin because she wouldn't put her hand inside of it because it was disgusting!!) They seemed to have a great time there!!

With the girls were with Ashley, I got to go on a date with my favorite person, my hubby! We met some of our friends for dinner and had a great time with them.

Randy has been on vacation this week and I have really enjoyed him being home and getting to spend so much time with him. He usually works a lot of hours during the week (and doesn't usually get weekends off ) so we have enjoyed getting to eat dinner together as a family every night this week!

MIMI'S BIRTHDAY AT POP'S!!!

We finally got to celebrate Randy's mom's birthday~also known as Mimi. Her birthday was at the end of August and with Randy's work schedule just hadn't been able to take her to lunch to celebrate it. We like to try different places for lunch on Sunday's so we decided to try Pop's in Arcadia since none of us had been there. It was so much fun!! The girls loved it and Mimi loved it as well...Mimi is all about the atmosphere of places so this was right up her alley! We all picked out a different kind of root beer to drink with our lunch and then had hamburgers, fries, onion rings, chicken strips, and a chicken sandwich.
Isabella loves her root beer that she choose!

Alexis chugging hers down as well!!

Mimi was the only one that ate healthy~she had the grilled chicken sandwich! We finished off lunch with some shakes...we tried the strawberry, peanut butter cup, and the double chocolate. I liked them all but the strawberry one...I tend to go more for the chocolate things in life...Isabella licked the double chocolate one clean!! She loved that one. After lunch we gave Mimi her gift which was a picture frame that said "Grandchildren complete the circle of love" with a picture of the girls in it. We decided this was our new favorite place so well be going there again for sure!!

HOW MANY MORE THINGS CAN WE DO IN A WEEKEND?!?!

Our weekend was jam packed. We had a little bit of everything to do this past weekend. First of all on Saturday Alexis had a soccer game. Some people live for OU or OSU football to start....not the Wheeler's (well ok maybe Randy does, but I could care less about football...I don't get the point at all...watching guys run just a LITTLE bit of ways then everybody push him to the ground, then they stop and get excited and then turn right around and do it AGAIN for 4 SOLID HOURS....I would rather take the girls grocery shopping at Walmart then sit and watch that for 4 hours. Anyways...that is not what this post is about...) We live for Soccer Season! Alexis has played soccer for the past 4 years and it is a blast to watch her play! She scored in her game on Saturday so that is always exciting!

After the soccer game, I took the girls to my parents house for some lunch and then I was off to a baby shower for one of my sweet friends, Hayley. I had a great time getting to hang out with some of my favorite friends(my lifegroup girls).

Once the baby shower was over I went back to my parents where the girls were at and headed to my sister's house for my nephew's 1st birthday.

We had a great time there!! I was in charge of face painting and my grandad wanted me to paint his face in honor of Drew's birthday. I painted a 1 on his face!

Alison made these cute things for the kids to get their pictures taken
On Sunday, the girls and I (Randy had to work) went to church. After church, we went to my grandparents house and had lunch with them. We had so much fun with them! They are always so sweet and at so excited when we go see them. My grandma had a delicious lunch for us and it was great.

After spending the afternoon with my grandparents we had a birthday party to go to for someone in our lifegroup's little one. All of our lifegroup was there so that is always fun...getting to talk and hang out with them! Isabella's best friend Ella was there and they always have so much fun together!
Finally after that birthday party we were able to head home and end our weekend with baths and early bedtimes. I was exhausted and so I know the kids had to be too! We loved being able to see so many friends and family that we love so much this past weekend!

THE LAST DAYS OF SUMMER!!

Well summertime has come to an end and The Wheeler's hate it when the summer is over. We live for the summer months. We swim everyday (as you can tell from this blog!), play outside and LOVE those hot summer days! This year we tried to make several new traditions...peach and blackberry pickin. We had a blast doing that this summer!

We have swam for the last time this summer and fall will soon be approaching...that makes us sad. Although we do get excited the closer it comes to Christmas! Christmas would be absolutely perfect if it was about 85 degrees outside instead of cold and snowy. Only in my world I guess!! (My family knows that would only happen in MY world!!)

I will leave you with a few pics of our last swim of the summer of '08!! The make shift "dunk tank" that Maddison and Emme made for them to do..they loved it!! Seth either making waves for the "wave pool" or maybe trying to drown a niece or two... Drew LOVES to swim with Papa...because Papa caters to his every need in the water!!

Seth trying to talk Isabella into jumping into the pool holding his hand...Seth and Andy make her a wee bit nervous when they are in the water with her!! Maybe because she has been thrown in a time or two...

Who can resist this cute hinny?!?! I could just eat him up!! He is so sweet walking around everywhere!

A few of us even have some skillz that we can do in the water!! Nice form Maddi!! (She does a great somersault over the edge of the pool that we are just thankful each time that she doesn't crack her head open!!)

Seth showin his skillz...or trying to drown a different niece!! Just kidding..Maddison was in the clear...or at least we think that she was!

And thankfully we have no age requirement on who can do tricks in the pool because Drew can do some serious tricks at the ripe of age of 11 (almost 12) months!! Don't worry he loves it!!

See I told you he loves it...he comes up happy each and every time! He likes for us to clap for him when he comes up!!We ended the afternoon with homemade oreo ice cream that Nana made...it is the BEST. We all love it! (As you can tell...I think each one of them have a mustache of oreo ice cream!)

BOWLING WITH SOME SWEET FRIENDS OF OURS!!

On Saturday night our friends the Estes' called us and wanted us to go bowling with them! We had so much fun! We love getting together with these friends. Their boys and our girls get along so well and it is fun to see them playing together! Drew was a little weepy that evening so he didn't want to smile at me for the picture!!

Kristi and Alexis bowling...who knocked down the most pens???

Jason and Isabella helping Drew get that ball down the lane!!

My sweet, sweet friend Kristi! I miss getting to see her everyday!!

Randy and Isabella at the bowling alley.

Alexis and I.

We ended the night by going to get ice cream! I think that the kids had a great time and I know that Randy and I did as well!!
