Isabella's Date With Daddy

Randy has been working tons of hours this month and he had today off so he took Isabella to the movies to see Surf's Up. She was so excited to go. He took her to the movie theater here in Yukon where they were still showing the free movies. We love that they do free movies in the summer for the kids to go see. Yes they are usually ones that they have seen but none-the-less, it's free and something to do besides swimming! However, when I take the girls, we take our own snacks...yes, I know, shame on me. I cannot force myself to pay $3 for a coke...however, Randy doesn't mind! So what does he let her do? Pick out her choice of pop to drink during the movie. No wonder she loved going with him!! Now the rest of the times when I take her she is going to ask me if she can have a pop...oh well, I guess that daddy is suppose to let you have somethings that mom won't let you have!

Auntie Ber and Uncle Ted

We have been spending the last few days with Randy's sister and her husband. They live in Nashville and they came home this week to see family and friends. We hadn't seen them since Christmas so we were all very excited to see them. We spent Sunday and Monday at Randy's moms house and visited with them both of those days. Then on Wednesday we went to Randy's dads house and hung out with them there. The girls absolutely LOVE their auntie ber and Uncle Ted...Randy and I don't think they're so bad either!! We are always so excited to see them and so sad to see them go...we won't see them again until Christmas.

LOTS OF FAMILY TIME!

The last few days we have lots of family time. We love getting to spend time with our extended family on both sides. Randy and I are very blessed to both have large families and we love getting to spend time with them! On Wednesday the girls and I went to Randy's dads house and hung out with his family for awhile. My sister-in-law had a precious baby girl at the beginning of June and my girls absolutely ADORE her!! Isabella loves to hung her and kiss on her. She also loves to hold her!! She has been the baby on both sides of the family for the past 4 years and I thought that she would be jealous but she is anything but that. She LOVES babies!! She talks to them in her little baby voice and is just so sweet to them!

Nana's Birthday

Today was Nana's birthday. She decided that she wanted to go blackberry picking with all of the kiddos for her birthday. We had so much fun! My grandparents ended up meeting us out at the orchard and I am so glad that they did. They seemed to enjoy being out there with all the kids. Isabella said that the grass was making her mad because it kept scratching her legs so my grandma was kind enough to sit with her and they had their little snack that Isabella brought with her! We also had our own personal "tour guide."Her name was Molly and she was the ripe ole' age of 7! This girl was hilarious. She sang at the top of her lungs through the blackberry orchard. I think that her aunt was the one running the place on this particular day. It appeared that Molly hadn't seen children her own age in quite sometime. She stuck to us like glue. Once we were finished picking our blackberries, we went to see the horse and donkey that they had. Molly told us there names were Michael and Trimmin'. Michael was the huge horse and Trimmin' was the donkey. That donkey cracked me up! I could have stood there all day watching my girls with that donkey! They are city girls to the core (they get that from their mom!) but they loved this donkey. Isabella wanted to kiss it sooo bad but just couldn't quite get the nerve to do it! At one time Trimmin' smelled something on Alexis' shirt and really liked it. Oh my I was cracking up at that. It wouldn't let go of her shirt...she was getting a little scared and I couldn't quit laughing so that I could do something about it.

We Have Been Busy!!

Wow..we have been so busy the last several days. On last Thursday, Alexis went to stay with her Mimi for a couple of days. She loves getting to do this. Her and my niece go together every year with their Mimi for their "birthday weekend." They get so anxious and excited to go do this with Mimi. Every year she takes them to get their nails and toes done, lunch at a tea room and then shopping. They each get to pick out an outfit...this year Alexis came home with 3 new shirts. Super cute ones might I add! We finished up the weekend with going to Mimi's house for a lunch on Sunday. We had lots of yummy food and the kids had a blast playing in the little pools.

"They said I was human!"

On Monday we went swimming at Alison's...yes, AGAIN! The girls usually all play really well together but today everybody was kind of in a funk. We stopped and bought icees for everyone and I think that they all drank them to quickly and then went outside. Their tummies started hurting. So after their tummies had settled they eventually started all playing good together until.....we heard Isabella crying in the pool. I asked her what was wrong and she just cried saying, "they said that I was human!" Apparently the three other girls were playing H20. This is a show off of Disney or something like that that is about these three girls that are mermaids. I guess that there is only 3 mermaids on the show so they thought there could only be 3 when they were playing it. We finally told them that they had to have a 4th mermaid so that Isabella could play. She was in a much better mood when I told her that she was a mermaid too!! Isabella is very much into mermaids!! She ususally swims "like a mermaid" when she is in the bath.

fun in the sun!

Today the girls and I went to our friends house for lunch and then to swim in their neighborhood pool. The girls and I absolutely love hanging out with these sweet boys and their parents. (Randy does too!!) They were our neighbors when we lived at our old house. We were so sad when we had to part ways with them and move. They were the kind of neighbors that you gave a house key to and even if you weren't home you said you can borrow whatever you need just go in and get it. We tried to convince them to buy the house next to us and had no such luck!! We think of them often in the evening time when we are out in the front yard playing. We use to ALWAYS hang out in the front yard at our old houses and talked with them and the kiddos would just play. Those were the good ole' days!We still see them often but not often enough. Thanks for a great day Kristi! All American Pizza was great as always!!!!

Stayin Busy

Wow...where has this summer gone? I can't believe that the summer is half way over. I feel like we have been super business not doing much of anything. The girls LOVE to swim so we do that about every other day at Alison's house! I have also been super busy with mine and Alison's business. We usually aren't nearly as busy in the summer but this summer...wow.. we have been so busy:) We love doing our business and I find it very therapeutic to just go in my spare bedroom and paint signs. MY GIRLS

I am blessed to be able to stay home with our two girls. Randy works SO hard so that I don't have to work outside of the home. I decided to take the girls picture before we went to the peach orchard incase things didn't work out for me to take pictures there. I usually bring my camera places but very rarely take pictures once I get there! Hopefully this blog will hold me more accountable to taking pictures of the girls.

WE WENTA PEACH PICKIN' !!

My grandparents wanted to take the girls to the peach orchard so we went on Friday morning. When Isabella woke up on Friday morning and I told her what we were going to do, she said "I can't believe it." She was so excited! Both of the girls were super excited to be going to pick peaches at the orchard!! My sister and her kids and my mom and us all met my grandparents out there. We always try to have my mom be able to go to help us out with the kiddos. The older two are relatively "low maintenance" and can kinda do there own thing...the younger two girls, well how should I say this....they are NOT "low maintenance." Separetely they aren't that big of a deal but TOGETHER you never know what they are going to do or get into! And then there's DREW! He's the baby and the only boy! He is absolutely precious but is ALL BOY! He loved the peaches as much as the rest of us. I mean...we only ate a few while we were out there. My grandaddy said that we could eat all that we wanted to while we were there. He's an honest man...so we just took his word on it. We had so much fun out there pickin peaches with my grandparents that we told them that we wanted to go pick blackberries next week!!
